
Final Push for Healthcare Policy in 2025
With the last scheduled session week of the year underway, the focus of Congress remains healthcare legislation.
This week, the House will consider the Lower Health Care Premiums for All Americans Act ahead of the expiration of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) subsidies on December 31st. The House is also set to take up legislation to streamline environmental permitting and restrict gender-affirming care for minors and may consider two resolutions to block the Trump administration’s military actions against Venezuela.
The Senate will take up the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) along with a package of over 100 nominees. The Senate may also take separate floor votes on some individual nominees.
